iOS 11 Beta on the iPad is a great upgrade.

I have just been playing with iOS 11 beta on an iPad. It looks good.
Some of the new features which look interesting are:
the drag and drop functions;
the new dock;
the control panel;
the lock screen.

Maps is getting new functions including airport maps (probably not Scottish airports for a while).

There is a "do not disturb" feature for drivers. It will switch off communications while you are driving. (If only you could switch off for others who don't use the feature).

The new files app integrates with cloud services such as Box, Dropbox, and iCloud and gives a means of managing files outwit the apps (if you need it).

The Notes app includes some useful tweaks including the ability to scan a document, annotate it and save it as a PDF.

In Safari you can export a web page as a PDF, annotate it and send or save your work.

Screenshots can be annotated, sent on to a colleague, saved to you photo library or discarded. Very handy!

SIRI has been updated and now includes translation into several different languages.

I can't wait for the Apple Pay person to person payments and the Apple Pay cash account to come to the UK.

There are lots of other features in iOS 11. When it is released in the autumn it will bring iPad into the mainstream of computer use.
